Thursday newsday! Kamala lays out her economic vision, and goes on MSNBC. Jack Smith drops the bomb.
We're taking a break from Culture Thursday this week as yesterday and today will be YUGE newsdays.
Yesterday in Pittsburgh, Vice President Kamala Harris did what the likes of Bret Stephens were haughtily demanding she do, and laid out her economic vision for the country. I will post the speech in full down below.
VP Harris also sat down for an interview with Stephanie Ruhle on MSNBC. Ruhle wasn't great, but she wasn't awful, either. And, of course, VP Harris again knocked it out of the park.
Meanwhile, today Special Counsel Jack Smith is set to file a 180-page opening brief detailing how the Supreme Court's ruling on presidential immunity affects the government's case. Filings are usually no more than forty-five pages. Donald Trump's lawyers tried to stop Mr. Smith from issuing his filing. Judge Tanya Chutkan knocked them down and allowed the enlarged filing. It's expected that the brief will be filled with details about evidence which have not been heard before. In essence, Mr. Smith will be able to get much-delayed evidence out into the public, evidence which he has been prevented from presenting due to Trump's dragging out of the case. It should be grand.
Also, a housekeeping note. On Monday I will be sending whatever we have in the kitty to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Why? Because of this:
Combine this with Colin Allred having a real shot at unseating Rafael Eduardo Cruz in Texas, and we have a chance to keep the Senate blue, take the House, and give Kamala Harris a trifecta.🚨 HUGE NEWS in the Nebraska Senate race. 🚨
