Weekend self-care open thread: The art of the cover song, part 4

Howdy, everyone!

I believe it was our riky who suggested, a while back, a weekend self-care thread on cover songs. As you can see, this is the fourth post I've written on that theme, and it's one of my favorite pieces to write.

I know I've posted "Hurt" before, so we won't revisit that one. I've dug deep to find some gems, so I hope you enjoy them. And post your own favorites in the comments.

Bob Marley and the Wailers: Sugar, Sugar (The Archies)

Nirvana: The Man Who Sold the World (David Bowie)

Stevie Wonder: We Can Work It Out (The Beatles)

Donna Summer: MacArthur Park (Richard Harris)

Jeff Buckley: Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen)

This last one is by none other than W. A. Mozart. It's his Piano Concerto no. 1, K 107, which is based on a piano sonata by Johann Christian Bach.

Enjoy the music, enjoy the weekend, turn on, tune in, drop out.

As always, dear friends, be ever kind and joyful to yourselves and those around you.
