At Death's Door
Donald Trump is dying.
Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But his demise is unquestionably forthcoming.
We know this because nothing Donald Trump does is by accident. His mind may be mush at this point, but we know that there is still a semblance of sanity there. And when that sanity all of a sudden starts in on the topic of heaven and the afterlife, then we know something is up.
The fact that Trump's handlers forced him onto the golf course on Sunday looking like this proves that they are panicking. While we haven't identified just how and why rumors of Trump's death suddenly emerged on Saturday morning, the White House was clearly rattled by these rumors in a way that forced Trump to make a public outing. As Anon and others in our community have pointed out, Trump's health won't be seen as seriously in jeopardy until he stops playing golf. But if this is how a "healthy" Donald Trump looks while heading to the links, well, something is up. This is not a photo of a healthy, energetic man about to play 18 holes of golf. This is a photo of a sick man desperately trying to appear much healthier than he actually is.
This is not a one-off incident. Over the past month, we've seen Trump's health deteriorate before our very eyes. From his confounding White House rooftop wandering to his visible hand bruises, Trump has become what Jake Tapper erroneously told us Joe Biden was: an old, feeble man breaking down before our very eyes. With his July chronic venous insufficiency diagnosis leading to visibly swollen ankles, Trump's handlers were forced to admit he wasn't in perfect, godlike health. When the hand bruises became too noticeable to ignore, the White House was forced to acknowledge the blemish, but attributed them to Trump's frequent hand shaking and Aspirin use, an explanation that many experts found questionable at best. For someone who has lied about his health for decades and has refused to be transparent during his time in the White House, Donald Trump's request asking us once again just to trust him and take him at his word is rightly falling on the deaf ears of nearly everyone who isn't already a member of his cult. Trump lied about something as obvious as his height; his lying about a serious medical condition would not surprise any of us.
Even with all this, the most telling part is the fact that Trump is now openly thinking about the afterlife. For someone who has spent 79 years on this Earth thinking of nobody but himself, this has been the biggest red flag over the past two weeks. Trump has never been a religious person. He has exhibited zero empathy for anyone in his life, including his own family members. To all of a sudden be giving interviews where an afterlife is on is mind is, in a word, perplexing. This isn't some desperate appeal to his evangelical followers. This is Donald Trump, actually wondering what lies beyond this life. Never before has the man thought about the consequences of his actions. So why now?
I'm not a doctor. But I am an observer of the human condition. Donald Trump is severely ill. Trump knows this and is reflecting on his life. He'll never change who he is or his behavior. Yet he is aware that his time on this Earth is limited. That only happens when a person receives health-related news that paints a grim picture. No matter how much the White House tries to gaslight us, we're all seeing Trump's health deteriorate in real time. It may not happen overnight. It may not happen in 2025. But Donald Trump is dying. He knows it. His handlers know it, too. And somewhere in an upscale corner office, even prominent newspaper editors know it to be true. When Donald Trump ultimately dies in office, there will be questions surrounding his death.
The very first one should be how and why his illness was hidden from the public when we all saw through the charade.
