Hump day open thread: The DOJ responds

As I arrived home last night, the Department of Justice filed its 40-page response to Donald Trump's lawsuit calling for a special master. Or, really, his lawsuit claiming that all the papers in his possession were his, his alone, and should be returned because they're his, dammit.

Of course, I didn't have time to go over the filings, or, rather, read others much more informed than I am about the filings. Use this place-holder to discuss, and we'll have a further thread today if so warranted.
