Friday open thread: Affidavit party

Well, happy Friday, Barflies!

Yesterday news broke that Judge Bruce Reinhart, the federal magistrate judge at the heart of the Mar-a-Lago search by the FBI, accepted the Department of Justice's redactions and will unseal the affidavit underpinning the warrant at noon Eastern today.

Let's be frank: I'm not expecting much. The document will be blacked out to within an inch of its life. But neither the media nor Donald Trump will get what they wanted, which was a complete unsealing of the affidavit, revealing who the informant(s) is (are). And, there might be enough juicy detail left unredacted to further blow up in Trump's face.

I'm hoping we'll get at least some of those juicy details. I'm not sanguine about that, but Judge Reinhart is satisfied by Justice's redactions and feels they satisfy the request by the news media. So, we'll see.
