Weekend self-care open thread: Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Herbie Hancock!

Legendary musician Herbie Hancock celebrated his 83rd trip around the sun this past Friday. Those of us of a certain age first became aware of him with his 1980s dance hit "Rockit", and its attendant, weird, wonderful video. (Which, of course, I will post.) Straddling the worlds of traditional jazz, jazz fusion, and pop, Hancock has worked with everybody who is anybody in the jazz and pop worlds. As pianist, composer, and lecturer, Hancock is the eminence grise of America's greatest musical art form. Raise a glass to Mr. Hancock. Cent'anni!
