Thursday open thread: It's the final countdown!

OK everyone, here we go! Today we will see the closing arguments in New York's fraud case against twice-impeached, four-times indicted, former "president" Donald J. Trump.

He wanted to turn today into a circus by giving his own closing argument. Judge Arthur F. Engoron agreed, but issued stipulations as to what Trump could address. Trump refused to agree to those stipulations, so Judge Engoron rescinded the permission he gave for Trump to speak. Because Trump has the maturity of a 2-year-old, and can't be trusted to not soil his Depends, much less adhere to decorum in a court of law.

I honestly don't see Judge Engoron giving any other verdict than that New York, under Attorney General Tish James, proved its case. And I don't see Trump overturning this verdict on appeal. He's about to be a much poorer man. We might see him financing his campaign on QVC.

So strap in, get snacks and drinks, and enjoy.
