Weekend self-care open thread: In memoriam Andre Braugher
This week the amazing actor Andre Braugher passed away due to lung cancer.
I first saw Mr. Braugher in the film Glory. But where he shone for me was in the seminal police drama Homicide: Life on the Street. His character, Detective Francis Xavier "Frank" Pembleton, was one of the greatest characters written for television. The depth and pain and joy he brought to give Pembleton life was something to behold. For me, that show was must watch television.
This weekend we honor and celebrate his life. Rest in power, Andre.
Don't take life for granted, dear friends. You never know when it may leave you.
As always, be ever kind and gentle with yourselves and those around you.
