BREAKING: RUTH BADER GINSBURG HAS DIED

I was watching a program on French art, when my sister from another mister called me.

"She's dead."

"Who??"

"Ruth Bader Ginsburg."

It took me a moment to process that.

"What?"

"It just came through."

I won't have more to say at this moment. I'll have more to say tomorrow, and not all of it will be dire.

Right now I just want to celebrate the life of a woman who lived it to the fullest. Of a woman who ripped down barriers. Of a woman who deserves to be memorialized as the among the greatest which her country produced.

As Dan Rather signed off his broadcasts: Courage. What's one more tragedy to add to the charnel house of 2020?
