It is happening now in the father and son serial killer case of Raymond and Eugene Horsch. This case came to light when a parking violation near Independence Hall became one of the most disturbing cases in Philadelphia’s history. An Olney home housed at least seven women of which five are believed to be deceased by the police. The Philadelphia Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) are continuing a methodical search of 417 West Chew Avenue in the city's Olney neighborhood.
The Early Childhood of Raymond Horsch and Eugene Horsch
This is still an ongoing case so not much is known about the father’s childhood. Judging by the way his son was raised it probably was not a pleasant one. The home had long been associated with Eugene Horsch's father, Raymond Horsch, who was a self-described erotic photographer and filmmaker who owned the property before his son inherited it. Raymond Horsch also wrote a book called Empathy. They both were fans of Ted Bundy. It is believed Raymond Horsch killed his wife Amy Hale since she has not been seen in years. The father and son duo were also drug, firearms and sex traffickers. This is how they made their living. The Victims of Raymond Horsch and Eugene Horsch

Lady Justice
Raymond Horsch died in 2025 at age 82. He will never be held accountable for his crimes. On the other hand, his son Eugene is being held without bond. The investigation began June 19, 2026, when Eugene Horsch was parked in a BMW in a restricted area on Sixth Street near Independence Hall. The officer searched the car and found crack cocaine, firearms and a fake DEA badge in the car. There was also an unidentified woman in the backseat. Authorities said they found no physical evidence of a homicide during that initial search of the home. They discovered writings about Ted Bundy, also zip ties and drums. There was a note that mentioned killings and "trash that needs to go." It remains unclear who wrote it.Eugene Horsch remains in federal custody. Many women had gone missing in the area, and this led the police to investigate the Horsch home. Sources say the condition and origin of the remains are not yet known. The remains were discovered in the basements and some of the bodies were in barrels. The bones will be sent to a laboratory for forensic examination to determine whether they are human and, if so, whether they may be connected to the ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Philadelphia police at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
