Thank a Democrat!
Hello, fellow American!
Welcome to the one-year anniversary of having 81.4 million of us come to our senses and soundly reject the most inept and indecent man to ever occupy the Oval Office. After 4 years of hell, we finally deposed a vile, villainous, and vitriolic human tire fire who was so confident he would win he offered to leave the country if he lost! Of course, he did lose but he's too much of a chickenshit to follow through on his promise so we're left with the Miscreant of Mar-a-Lago just hanging out playing president from his South Florida domicile all while real things get done by the new, duly-elected presidential administration.
And getting done they are!
Why we're just over 10 months into this new presidency and boy howdy is there a lot 'o stuff getting done! In fact, we might very well be witnessing the most consequential first year of a presidency in over 90 years, despite what our friends might in the media might tell us. Not since the presidency of one Franklin Delano Roosevelt has an administration both stemmed the tide of a global crisis and set forth a path for future prosperity as the Biden-Harris administration has done. In fact, with the potential passage of the Build Back Better bill next week, there might be even more to celebrate as it seems ole Sleepy Joe and Kamala the Cop are just getting started!
So as these accomplishments come roaring in and we begin to cement our holiday plans with friends and family, let's take a few moments to acknowledge achievements from the first 10 months of the Biden-Harris Administration. And remember, each of these victories were universally supported by the Democratic Party and universally rejected by the Republican Party. Because rather than move the country forward, Republicans would instead work to undermine and sabotage a Democratic administration by any means necessary. While one party is tackling problems head on, another party is sitting on the sidelines intentionally ignoring decorum and trying to cheat to avoid having the other team rightfully declare victory. We've already seen them "say no and take the dough" because they know what Democrats are doing is actually working and they know that once people figure this out, it's sayonara to this current iteration of the former Party of Lincoln.
That is why that we as Democrats must embrace these wins and shout them from the rooftops for all to hear. We are humble by nature and thus we are not used to these public proclamations. And yet, we must. We must fight both Republican misinformation and media disinformation if we are to continue salvaging our republic from the Fascist Party of America. We are doing what we can. Democratic states are gerrymandering the hell out of their turf. Georgia is flipping dozens of state legislators positions. Strong Senate candidates are emerging in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Florida, and Ohio. But we can do more. We must do more. And what we must do is become cheerleaders for our side. Let everyone know what we're doing and do it in a way that celebrates our successes. In short, what we need to do is convince everyone they know to thank a Democrat!
Is your child finally back to in-person learning in school? Thank a Democrat!
As a college student, were you able to walk on campus for the first time? Thank a Democrat!
Are you enjoying attending your favorite team's home games once again? Thank a Democrat!
Are you enjoying getting back to concerts and comedy shows? Thank a Democrat!
Were you able to see the latest feature film at the movie theater? Thank a Democrat!
Are you able to return to your favorite local eatery for their Tuesday night special? Thank a Democrat!
Did your business finally reopen its doors after implementing a vaccine mandate for all employees? Thank a Democrat!
Did you receive a $1,400 stimulus in late April or early May? Thank a Democrat!
Are you now receiving $250-$300 each month per child under age 18? Thank a Democrat!
Can you or someone you care able who identifies as transgender now fulfill a lifelong dream to join the United States military? Thank a Democrat!
Were you able to finally bring your son or daughter home safe and sound from America's "forever war" in Afghanistan? Thank a Democrat!
Has the price of your health care coverage through the federal exchange drastically been reduced? Thank a Democrat!
Are you working at a job where the minimum wage is $15 or higher? Thank a Democrat!
Are you a new parent working for the federal government that was able to take off paid leave to be with your new bundle of joy? Thank a Democrat!
Have you been able to leave a previous job that was unsatisfying for one that makes you feel much more valued? Thank a Democrat!
Have you been able to plan a trip to a national park, knowing that it will no longer be damaged by large corporations? Thank a Democrat!
Will your town or city finally be able to afford newer, safer pipes to avoid lead contamination? Thank a Democrat!
Will you finally have access to internet that has been so hard to come by for your out-of-the-way rural community? Thank a Democrat!
Will your city finally have enough funding to replace those potholes on the main road? Thank a Democrat!
Will your town finally be able to replace the decaying bridge over the local river? Thank a Democrat!
Are you sleeping better at night knowing that competency, decency, and human empathy have returned to the White House, that adults are in charge, that critical policy decisions aren't being decreed by tweet, that there is the most diverse administration in history shattering multiple barriers, that people are actually qualified for the positions they have, that alliances are being re-forged through democracy, that our allies are back to trusting us, and that our economy is thriving, our stock market soaring, our unemployment rate well under 5% all while being universally opposed by a Republican Party insisting that none of this was possible under the Biden-Harris Administration?
Then, please oh please, THANK A DEMOCRAT!
And continue singing their praises whenever possible.
