Impeachment Day open thread, Part Deux

I'll have fuller thoughts later, but some quick takeaways.

1. Adam Schiff was brilliant in having George Kent and William Taylor as the first witnesses. They are from central casting as "grave, sober public servants."

2. Daniel Goldman is a rock star. House Democrats did well in hiring him as their counsel.

3. The Republicans are even more of a mess than I thought they would be. They aren't even trying to persuade the country that Donald Trump's actions don't rise to the level of impeachment. They're just trying to gin up (more) outrage among their declining base.

4. Trump's meltdown will be epic.
