We all owe Senator Warnock, lets send him some help
The blue wave that hit the Great Lakes.
The stalemate in the southwest states of Arizona and Nevada.
The disaster in New York and the complete collapse of Democrats in Florida.
The stunning and beautiful setbacks suffered by election deniers all over the country.
I have a lot to say about all that and more.
But right now, Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock needs help.
His race has gone into a runoff, and regardless of what people may say now that the Senate is decided, it is vital that he wins his race.
First, his victory on January 5, 2021, was vital for gaining a Senate majority that enabled President Biden to act on his agenda. All of us owe him a great debt for that—not to mention that Senator Warnock has been an outstanding senator for the people of Georgia.
More importantly, his victory would give Democrats enormous amounts of breathing room for a 2024 Senate map whose terrain is even more difficult than 2022’s.
Montana Senator Jon Tester, Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown, and West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin all are facing impossible odds in deeply red states, especially with Trump on the ballot.
Having that extra Senate seat buys vitally needed time and space.
Most importantly, having 51 Senate seats significantly reduces the power of Republicans in the Senate, which means more judges can be confirmed more quickly and legislation can get through more easily.
But only if Senator Warnock wins the runoff.
So instead of only posting the usual links, I am going to make a simple ask.
Spend a day or two working the phones for Senator Warnock. If you are unable to do that, send money. Both volunteers and money are vital for Senator Warnock’s campaign.
