Weekend self-care open thread: Happy Hanukkah!
Here we go, my babies! We're getting into the meat of the festive season! And that festive season includes Hanukkah.
Hanukkah is NOT the Jewish Christmas. Just because it occurs at the same time is no reason to make a faulty association. Hanukkah is about the Jewish nation persevering Gentile oppression. As such, it has much to say about our current times, when it seems that being Jewish is reason enough to engender hatred. (Then, of course, that's always been the case.)
For this weekend's self-care, we will celebrate the resilience of the Jewish people.
As always, my dear friends, be ever kind, gentle, and joyful with yourselves and others.
