True Crime Friday: Tsutomu Miyazaki, the Human Dracula Serial Killer
Tsutomu Miyazaki was a Japanese serial killer. He killed four girls during his killing spree between August, 1988 and June, 1989, before he was captured by authorities. His victims were between the ages of four and seven years old. He committed these murders in his car. He then took the body’s home where he dismembered, cannibalized and performed necrophilia. He kept body parts as trophies and sent letters to the young girl’s family taunting them about the murders.
Tsutomu Miyazaki was arrested in July of 1989, after he was confronted by the father of a young girl in which he was taking nude pictures. The father reported Tsutomu Miyazaki to the police. Miyazaki return to the location to retrieve his car where he was arrested on the spot. He was sentenced to death in 1997 and was executed by hanging in 2008.
The Early Childhood of Tsutomu Miyazaki
Born to a wealthy family, Tsutomu Miyazaki suffer severe health problems from an early age. Tsutomu Miyazaki was a premature baby and had a rare birth defect call radioulnar synostosis. This defect causes hand joints to fuse together. His hands were ill-formed being longer than most people. This illness prevented him from being able to bend his wrists upwards. This deformity caused him to be bullied in school. He decided that he would spend time alone. He began at an early age of watching his sister’s undress and take showers. When one of his sisters confronted him about watching her take a shower, he beat her up. When the sister told their mother what he had done, he then beat up their mother for confronting him. Needless to say, his sister’s hated him. Because of this he went to live with his grandfather and was raised by a nanny.The Miyazaki Family were well known and ran a regional newspaper. The family being wealthy was very prominent in Japan. He had family members that served on the town council. His father had hoped that his son would one day take over the reins at the newspaper but Tsutomu Miyazaki was not interested. He had more important things to consider such as his sex addictions and murder.

Miyazaki's father committed suicide because of the shame and dishonor his son brought upon the family.
