Thursday open thread: Is Joe about to bring down the hammer?

As recently as June, things were going swimmingly in regards to COVID. New infections were negligible. Millions were getting vaccinated. The country was opening up again. 

And yet, in September, we're in the middle of another wave of infections, with the attending deaths numbering in the thousands every day. The anti-vaccine jackholes have upended all the progress we were making. Republican governors seemingly are willing to kill their citizens in order to damage President Joe Biden and the Democrats. The death cult is rampant and unwilling to just die quietly.

Well, it seems that Pres. Biden has had enough.

Tomorrow, Biden will announce a six-pronged plan to get COVID under control.

What anti-vaxxers and Republicans in general are doing is active harm to the country. By their intransigence, they are preventing the economy to fully recover, preventing the country to return to normal. They have no good arguments to make; they shouldn't be treated as if they're acting in good faith, because they're not. One would have preferred that adults behaved like adults and made adult decisions. Instead we have 25% of our country which is mired in petulance and childishness and seeks to drag down the rest of us. Enough.
