Monday open thread: Whither Canada?


Canada! Land of maple! Land of poutine! Land of the sexiest prime minister around!

Today Canadians go to the polls to elect their new government. Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau—he of the flowing locks and pert buttocks—called a snap election due to polls showing his Liberal Party far ahead. Well, things took a turn for the worse, as tracking polls showed him and the Conservatives neck and neck. However, that seems to have settled down. This account I've been following has this as its final prediction for seat allocation after the polls close:
I, for one, would be very sad to see the stud replaced by his Conservative opponent dud. Hopefully these numbers hold and Joe Biden will continue to have a liberal partner to the Great White North.

So settle in, have some Canadian whiskey, and play Bryan Adams' greatest hits.
