
Sante Kimes was born July 24, 1934. She was a con-artist, robber, fraudster, arsonist and serial killer. Sante Kimes was described as a bully during her formative years. She divorced her first husband and met millionaire Kenneth Kimes. She committed petty crimes during her teenaged years. But her crimes became more serious once she married Kenneth. She had been committing serious crimes for over a decade and killing anyone that got in her way. Her youngest son Kenneth Kimes, Jr., was her accomplice in all crimes. It was rumored that they were lovers. When a parent grooms a child into becoming their lover then it is more than likely the child is being primed for future crimes. She was arrested in 1998 for the murder of Irene Silverman. Irene was a socialite who owned a Manhattan apartment building in New York City. The Kimes duo murdered her to take control of the building. Sante and Kenneith Kimes, Jr., were both tried and convicted together on 118 charges which included the murder of Silverman. Her body was never recovered.
The Early Childhood of Sante Kimes
She was born Sante Louise Singhrs in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is the third of four children born to Mary Gertrude and Prama Mahendra Singhrs. Her father emigrated from India to Canada. Those that knew her doing her teenaged years knew her by the name of Sandra. Sante lied to her friends by telling them her mother was a sex worker, and her father had abandoned the family. In fact, her father died from heart disease when she was five years old and he was doctor. Her sister Retha stated the Sante was in an incestuous relationship with their brother Karam. He was also a pyromaniac. He would light a match under Retha bed and hold her against her will. As a child Sante was known to kill animals such as goats and dogs. Then she would mutilate them.
Eventually Sante’s mother moved Sante and Retha to Los Angeles, California to begin a new life. It was rumored after the move that Sante was adopted by Edwin and Mary Chambers who lived in Nevada. Sante earned a reputation as a bully who frequently belittled and intimidated younger students. She graduated from high school in Carson, Nevada. After high school she married Edward Walker, and they had a son named Kent Walker. She got her first shoplifting charge in 1961 in Sacramento. Following the shoplifting incident, the couple separated but then reconciled before divorcing in 1969. Walker was a contractor and built houses in the area. He built a house for Sante which she set on fire to collect the insurance payment. Sante burned the kitchen down and received $10,000 which in today’s dollars would be roughly $100,000.00 dollars. As Walker built homes about a dozen of them would be burned down mysteriously. Sante was rumored to have multiple affairs during the marriage with Walker’s wealthy business partners. After their divorce Sante and her son Kent moved to Palm Springs.

A Court TV reporter named Maria Zone was interviewing Kenneth in prison when he took her hostage on live television. He held a ballpoint pen to her throat. Before this incident she had interviewed him before in prison without an incident. He held Zone hostage to demand his mother not be extradited to California because she would be facing the death penalty. That was before California put a stay on executions. He also faced the death penalty for the murder of Kazdin. Zone broke free when Kenneth Jr. removed the pen from her throat for a moment. Negotiators had created a distraction which allowed them to quickly remove Zone. Kimes was then wrestled to the ground by the authorities.

Kenneth Kimes Sr. was a motel mogul worth millions of dollars. Sante would frequently introduced Kenneth Sr. as an ambassador to gain favor, which helped her to get access to the White House Reception during the Ford Administration. She also impersonated Elizabeth Taylor to whom she had a slight resemblance. The FBI launched an investigation into the disappearance of Irene Silverman. Her friends and family had not heard from her in days. She had complained about her new tenants to friends and family. They said she was planning to evict them before she disappeared.

Sante Kimes died May 19, 2014, in a California prison. Kenneth Kimes, Jr. pled guilty to the crimes to keep his mother and himself from the death penalty. The Kimes are also suspected of many other murders including a murder in the Bahamas. Kenneth later confessed to the murder in the Bahamas. Kenneth stated his mother confessed to the murder of Elmer Ambrose Holmgren who disappeared in Costa Rica. No charges were brought for this crime since both were already serving life sentences without the possibility of parole.
