I've led you astray.

I thought this country was better. I thought this country wouldn't vote in fascism for $2 gas. I was wrong.

I thought we were the majority. We are not.

51% of this country, men and women, white and Black and Latino, voted for a monster because they were afraid.

51% of this country, men and women, white and Black and Latino, voted for a monster because a Black woman was too much.

Everyone missed this. The pollsters. The pundits. Me.

This country has broken my heart, and I don't know how I can go on.

This country has betrayed my soul, and I'm adrift.

I honestly don't know what will happen with this blog. I don't have anything left to say. Cataloging another four years of Trump crimes is not something I want to do. To what purpose? It's what the country wants.

I hope those who stayed home because of Gaza now realize that Gaza will be no more. Its time is at an end. No one will go to save it.
