Monday open thread: Strap in, kids!

Well kids, it's finally happening. The above graphic shows the schedule for the public hearings being held by the January 6th Select Committee into the insurrection.

Committee members have promised that much more than is publicly available will be revealed, and that it will shock the nation. Perhaps that will finally shut up the naysayers who have been complaining that "nothing is being done". The committee, ultimately, is going after a former president. One must get one's ducks in a row.

I, for one, am thankful that I'll still be at home for June and able to tune in to all the hearings. As a citizen, it's my duty to take in all this information. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance, and we've abdicated that work. People in this country are too consumed by fripperies, and do not take their obligations as citizens seriously. Perhaps these hearings will finally puncture that balloon of apathy.

Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of truth.
