Thursday open thread—African American pioneers in aviation and space
Happy Thursday, everyone! Your humble scribbler has a fun-filled day of staff training this fine winter's day, so an open thread it is.
African Americans are often celebrated for athletic or artistic prowess. What they're less celebrated for is scientific achievement. People of color are very under-represented in the sciences, but that doesn't mean they haven't achieved great things. For today's open thread, a talk by NASA astronaut Victor Glover. He would make a great starship captain.
