Friday open thread—The wisdom of the late Elijah Cummings

Your humble scribbler apologizes for another open thread. But this has been a hell of a week, both for me personally and in general terms. I'm in the middle of recharging my batteries.

So, to get us into the weekend, let's hear some words of wisdom from the late, great Elijah Cummings. This is a speech he gave after the uprising in Baltimore after the police killing of Freddie Gray.
