Weekend self-care open thread: Belated anniversary!
We've gone through a lot on this blog. We've had arguments. I've had to ban people who wanted to disturb the peace of this blog. The world has gone on in its crazy pace, not caring about our well-being.
But we're still here. We're still a community. And that's not nuthin'.
We are at one of the lowest, if not THE lowest, ebbs of our country, at least since the Civil War. And it's safe to say that at this moment we are in another irruption of that conflict which was in no way resolved on April 9, 1865. The Confederates were never truly defeated. And because they weren't, here we are, in the grips of fascism.
And yet, we survive. We persevere. And we thrive.
So, for this weekend's self care, we have songs of resistance and resilience.
