I mean, I don't for one minute believe that this wretch is having a dark night of the soul. Even if he has a soul, he has embraced the dark night. That would be a feature, not a bug. But, much like Chris Griffin says about Brian Griffin: YOU HAVE NO SOUL.

As our Anon has said, the one area where this moron is a savant is in self-promotion. He did it when a piece of Plexiglass grazed his ear after his "assassination attempt". And he's doing it now. Maybe even in the bubble in which he exists, and in which his staff keeps him, he is beginning to realize that he will die as the most reviled American to ever live. Not just to occupy the White House; his name will be a frightening story that mothers and fathers tell their children. "You'd better behave, or Donald Trump will take you away to El Salvador." So, just maybe, this is his attempt to win over those who have nothing but odio for him, as we say in Spanish. ("Odio" is hard to translate into English. It doesn't mean "hatred", although that is the common translation. If you speak Spanish, it connotes a visceral disgust, an unredeemable disdain and animus.) It may also be why he wants the Nobel Peace Prize so much—aside from the fact that the Black man he despises has it "for doing NOTHING." It would be like a medieval indulgence, cleaning him of his multitude of sins.

Of course I don't take this seriously. This man knows nothing about forgiveness or grace. He is a walking embodiment of the worst in humanity. Like most rich men, he has used his wealth and power not to make the world better for toiling humanity, but for his own aggrandizement. He himself has formerly said that he doesn't care what history says about him, as he'll be dead. 

But who knows. Perhaps he's been visited by the ghosts of presidencies past, present, and future, and he shat his Depends™. 

So, I open it up to the congregation: What can Trump do so that he won't be cast off beyond the Doors of Night?

For me? Stop being a fascist fuckface would be a great start. Resigning would also be great. Of course, dying would save us all a lot of bother, but he'd die before his absolution, so he would try to stave that off as long as possible. Y'all get creative.
