Weekend self-care open thread: Juneteenth!

Happy weekend, friends!

Donald Trump complained. Donald Trump fulminated. Donald Trump said we have too many paid holidays. Donald Trump can go eat a bag of donkey dicks. We are not giving up Juneteenth. He has no problem with Italians having Columbus Day—which, mind you, many localities, like Los Angeles County, have changed to Indigenous Peoples Day—but he's way pissed off at those uppities having yet another holiday. Well, tough shit. As I keep saying, Black history is American history. Suck it you pustulent bag of pestilential protoplasm. Long after you're deservedly dead, we will still be celebrating this holiday.

This weekend I will be taking our music from this YouTube playlist put together by our own SoCalDragon and KatieSeeker, with recommendations from PurpleShoesLA, CChis, Rico U, Master Of My Universe, and Johnny 4 Ukraine. I cannot, again, sufficiently adumbrate just what a wonderful group y'all are. Really, there are no other virtual friends with whom I'd rather face this mishegoss in which we live than you.
