Wednesday open thread

Hello everyone! Let's recap yesterday, shall we?

• Donald Trump may have asked to be rid of a meddlesome ambassador, and his goons began to act on his command.
• Lev Parnas burned it all down.
• Rudy Giuliani wrote down notes for a criminal conspiracy.
• A Ukrainian prosecutor offered to manufacture dirt on Joe Biden if his American interlocutors would "take care" of Marie Yovanovitch.
• A candidate for the House was in on tailing the ambassador and offering to connect Giuliani et al with people in Ukraine who are in that sort of work.

We seem to be at the "shooting someone in the middle of 5th Avenue" phase of the Trump regime. 

Perhaps this country is being tested as it is in expiation for its multifarious sins, from native genocide to black chattel slavery to sexism, racism, and so on. Right now this country's affairs are in the hands of gonefs who wouldn't even be extras in a Martin Scorsese film. But, it is what it is, and there's nothing for it but to soldier on and wrest back the country from them.
