True Crime Friday: Dale Cregan, the Gangland Revenge Spree Killer

Dale Cregan was born in the United Kingdom on June 6, 1983. His parents were Anita Marie Cregan, and Paul Cregan. He has a brother and sister as well. It is not known if Cregan held resentment against his father for leaving his mother and marrying a former policewoman but there has been speculation about this from authorities. Dale Cregan is a vicious killer. That is saying a lot when I primarily write stories about serial killers. Cregan leered two police officers to his home on false pretenses and gunned them down in cold blood. He murdered his drug rival and his son outside of a bar. Cregan lost his left eye in a fight in Thailand which also gave him a very menacing appearance. He received a glass eye which he would take out to scare people. Dale Cregan would take his fake eye out while in court just to scare the people in the court.
The Early Childhood of Dale Cregan
It was reported that he did not grow up in a dysfunctional environment like most people that become killers. Psychologists have studied this case and have diagnosed Cregan as a psychopath. A psychopath is a person with a personality disorder marked by a lack of empathy, an absence of remorse, and persistent antisocial behavior. He attended high school at Littlemoss High School in Manchester. It was reported he began his criminal career in high school selling drugs. Once he finished high school, he started to collect weapons such as knives, machine guns and guns. Cregan also began to sell cocaine, but he also held a job as a plasterer.
